It is good that you acknowledged it. My sense is that the only way we can understand this passage is through Ephesians Chapter 6. The Old Testament physical warfare becomes resymbolized through the cross into spiritual warfare. Our weapons, as Paul said, are not 'carnal'. May we remember daily to put on the full armour of God, the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, the belt of Truth, the Gospel shoes of peace, praying in the Spirit at all times.Rev Ed Hirdhttp://stsimonschurch.canoreply@blogger.com
