"Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awak and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed." Revelation 16: 15

When Michelle went to the hospital, I didn't know when she could be back home. I always asked myself whether I was ready anytime if she was allowed to go home. It might be a few weeks or even a few months. So, I got a company to clean the whole house two times last week. I bought new towels, pillow...and quite a number of things two days ago. I washed and prepared those new things and put them into the bathroom and bedroom. I washed the whole house with bleach yesterday morning. Then I got a call from Michelle at noon that she could go home!

The past 16 days when I was reading the book of Revelation, I received a clear and simple message I never had before: "God's time will come soon, you never know or understand when or why but are you ready?" Today's passage is the same message: the big war "Armageddon" is coming; are you staying awake and ready?

Two days ago Michelle asked me to ask all of you to pray for her that she could attend Ignatius' UBC Graduation Ceremony on 26 May, 2010. After that she said, "Actually I would like to ask the Lord that I can have dinner with Athanasius this Sunday on his 14th birthday but I know that would be impossible and too greedy to ask." So, I didn't put that into my blog yesterday and just asked all of you for the May 26. Wow! God is good, all the time! Michelle can have dinner at home with Athan on this 14th birthday this Sunday night!

Four days ago I asked those who read my blog to come for a prayer run or pray walk. Dickson asked me where and I said I was still thinking. Three days ago I told him it would be around my neighbours this time and we would gather in front of my house and would have a 20 minutes prayer run(for those who can't run would have a pray walk on another route). And now, the prayer run/walk will be more meaningful. Most brothers and sisters have not seen Michelle for three weeks and you will have a chance to see her this Saturday. We are going to start the prayer run/walk in front of my house and sing "Joyful, Joyful we adore Thee", read a passage from the Bible and then"Emmanuel". Michelle is so desperate to worship with all of you and we are going to worship our Lord Jesus Christ and praise Him at that time, though Michelle can not come back to the church for at least a few more weeks or months. Will you be there? We are going to have our regular weekly prayer meeting at 9a.m. in our church and then we'll start the prayer run/walk at10:30a.m. in front of my house.

Michelle will go to the Cancer Clinic near VGH daily or once every two days for a few months of chemo and other treatments. Please pray that she can be completely recovered soon!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for what you have done to prepare us in the midst of this crisis, for reminding us that we need to be prepared, especially for your coming, and for giving us a chance to experience the love of so many brothers and sisters. Help us to be prepared and be faithful to you always. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a disciple. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online disciple to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!

And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses that servant of God and the song of the Lamb.

Revelation 14: 7

Where do you think you will be when that time comes? Singing and playing harp worshiping God, enjoying the powerful scene of heaven and the wonderful presence of God or living in the horrible sufferings as described in Chapter 16.

Perhaps you have never or rarely click the link for the songs in this blog but today you need to click it. It's the best praise song I have ever heard through the web to feel the presence of our God Almighty.

Michelle is good today. She would like all of you to pray for her that she can attend Ignatius' UBC Graduation ceremony in Chan's Centre on May 26, 2010.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Prepare our souls that we can be ready to take part in the heavenly worship. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Message: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2014&version=MSG

He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of this judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." Revelation 14: 7

Most people fear lots of things but not God! Most people give lots of things 'glory' including themselves but will not give God glory! Why? Because it is so easy to talk about our worshipping God alone but in reality we worship so many other things but not necessarily God! This may means that sooner or later people may be worshiping the beast and his image and receive his mark on the forehead or on the hand but they will not even notice!

If you really worship God, then you will know how to fear God. In learning how to fear God, you won't fear anything. Nothing can give you fear to pull you away from the peace and love of God.

I think that this is what Michelle and me are experiencing. Look at those three picture which Ignatius took this evening, and you may understand a little bit more about Michelle's fear of losing all her hair and her peace after really losing all her hair.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for giving us the honor to worship you and you alone! Help us to receive you call for patient endurance and obey your commands and remain faithful to you in all circumstances. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
