Today's Reading: Psalm 8

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Psalm 8: 2

What I received from Jesus today is: The best way to silence Satan and your enemies!

Wow! Praise the Lord! This morning Jesus gave me the secret to silence Satan and our enemies.

It is: PRAISE!

Wow! Jesus reminded me when I was so lonely studying at Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in 1984, I used to bring my hymnal to the Jesus Chapel and sang one hymn after another to praise the Lord. I chose my 100 best hymns and marked them on my hymnal and sang as many as I was moved sometimes from 10p.m. to 2a.m..

Jesus reminded me on the 11th day that Michelle was in the hospital last year, he revealed to me the importance of praise; and I changed my format from then on to add two praise songs before and after the daily reading and my sharing. I copied and pasted what I wrote that day as below and put the link there if you would like to read that day's blog:

What Jesus told Michelle as we were having daily devotion this morning was a wonderful encouragement: Do not weep! I have triumphed!

This word of encouragement has given Michelle lots of comfort and strength; she told me that Jesus told her do not need to weep any more for He has triumphed.

What I heard today was also very wonderful; As a result, I have changed the format of my blog starting today: 1) A more simpler way as you open my blog and 2) to have a song to worship the Lord before reading His Word and a song worshipping Him to conclude you daily devotion.

I shared with what I got to Ignatius a moment ago and he told me that playing his guitar to praise the Lord is also his secret to get out of all kinds of pressure and darkness.

Yes, why do we forget this secret? Let's silence Satan and all his dirty, cunning strategy to pull us in to darkness by praising the Lord as much as we can daily! Wow! Praise the Lord!

And Jesus also revealed to me to use the song Your Name as the song to praise Him. God ordained praise! Do you know what "ordain" is? It is to make someone a priest. So God ordained praise to have that priestly function to bring people to God and to make offerings to God. But, read this verse carefully, it is from the lips of children and infants God have ordained praise. Once we can become children and infants to praise the Lord, then we can silence Satan for all his works. That's why Jesus prayed:

"I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure...Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11: 25- 30
