Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love
it would be utterly scorned.
Come away, my lover,
and be like a gazelle
or like a young stag
on the spice-laden mountains.
Song of Songs 8: 6-7, 14 (NIV)
He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22: 20
What I received from Jesus today is: Come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
Wow! Jesus gave me and you a very important message today!
First, I will surely miss reading Song of Songs as today is the last chapter! Jesus helped and guided me in a very deep sense to increase my love to Him and my loved ones especially to my wife Michelle. That is so wonderful! And, it also helps Michelle to love Jesus and me in a deeper level! That is great!
But, the most important thing is that Jesus reminds me to put the last verse of Song of Songs to the last verse of the Bible together. (Well, Revelation 22: 20 should be the last verse with the real last verse in the format of passing the Grace.)
Wow! It's all about "relationship"! If we love someone we long for our loved one to come to us as much as possible. The last message of the Bible use only one Aramaic word(Jesus' mother tongue) "Maranatha" which means "Come, Lord Jesus!" (For more information of this word please click this link:
Come, my love! Come, Lord Jesus!
It's all the same!
We love Jesus and we want Him to be close to Him as often as we can!
We love our spouse and we want to be close to him/her as often as we can!
Jesus also reminded me of a "burns like blazing fire" experience I had in 1977 when I was taking a two months summer course at Royal School of Church Music in England. We went to the Cathedral of Chichester for the yearly choir festival of three Cathedrals. There I heard the first time John Ireland's "Greater Love Hath No Man" and it becomes one of my most beloved music. It's mainly from verse 7 of this chapter "Many waters cannot quench love". I still remember I was like getting an electric shock that time! I know that there are only a few people on earth now appreciate listening to that kind of Church Music, but why not try to listen to it today and let Jesus uses this piece to touch your soul of how much He loves you!.
Yes, no love is greater than Jesus' love to us! This is the whole Bible is about! Jesus wants to teach us to dip into this kind of deep love so that we can love Him more and wait for His daily coming into your life, and His second coming to this world! Also, if we can love Him like that we can love our loved ones more, especially our spouse!
Have you developed that daily intimate personal love with Jesus which "burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame." The love that cannot be replaced with "all the wealth of our house"!
I love you Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
