Please click the links below to Isaiah 10:
"Yet for all this, his anger is not turned way, his hand is still upraised.
Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger,
in whose hand is the club of my wrath!"
"I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes."
The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame;
in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers."
"In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob,
will no longer rely on him who struck them down
truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
"O my people who live in Zion,
do not be afraid of the Assyrians,
who beat you with a rod and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
Very soon my anger against you will end
and my wrath will be directed to their destruction."
Isaiah 10: 4-5, 12, 17, 20-21, 25
What I received from Jesus today is: Very soon my anger against you will end!
Today Jesus gives us a warning, a hope, a comfort, an assurance and a calling!
A warning: (vv. 4-5)
God can use bad people and things to teach us a big lesson!
The line "Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised." has been repeated five time already. One is chapter 5,three in chapter 9 and one in this chapter.
He won't stop hitting you in his fierce way until His time comes!
A hope: (v. 12)
God's punishment will come to those nation and people for the willful pride of their hearts and the haughty look in their eyes! Pride is the No. 1 enemy of all leaders, if you are controlled by the spirit of pride then you will be destroyed sooner or later!
A comfort: (v. 17)
In a single day God can destroy a whole nation! In a single day God can rescue you from your deep troubles and take out those who wants to take you out. Do you understand?
An assurance: (vv. 20-21)
That day will come that you won't rely to those people and things that you think can help you but in fact destroy. That day will come if and only if your return and rely solely on the Mighty God!
A calling: (v. 25)
Fear of God is the way you need to experience so that you won't fear any people or anything! Wait and be patient because if you return to the Lord very soon God's anger will be over! His anger is just to lead you back to the right track, away from your pride, self-centerness, self-righteousness and self-enthronement! Jesus is Lord, not you!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to learn and experience today's wonderful lesson that we can be totally transformed by you to be more like you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
