"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams." Genesis 40:18-19

What I received from Jesus today is a very important question "What does prosperity and success in God means?" It does not mean that when you become a Christian, then you are going to be successful, wealthy, and become top of the world... No, no, no! This chapter shows us what prosperity and success in God means even when you are being mistreated, misunderstood, innocent but being judged guilty and in jail and you have the qualities as below:

1. You do not ask "why me" and leave God.

2. You still have an intimate relationship with God or even a more intimate relationship with God.

3. You can receive the blessings from God and others can see it.

4. You can exercise the spiritual gifts you receive from the Holy Spirit to glorify God's name and help other people.

There will be lots of tests in our lives for us to understand the true prosperity and success in God. Let Joseph's example be a good guide to us that we can grow up to be a mature Christian and a true disciple of Christ.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8: 35-37

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help me to stand firm in you that nothing can separate me from your love and that I can enjoy everyday and exercise my spiritual gifts in all circumstances. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Michelle is good today. Her white cell went up 0.3 today as compare to yesterday and is now 1.2. Her platelets has a dramatic raise daily since June 5 from 7 to 35 to 57 to 135 to 204 to 234 and today is 304! Praise the Lord that she is having her platelets as a normal person today. Her hemoglobin(which is red cell) is dropping a little from June 10 of 92 to today 82. She needs to have blood transfusion below 80. Thanks for your prayers! Her teeth of the top left hand side are still very painful, please pray for that.

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a discipler. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online discipler to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!

    1. Dear Silas,

Life has been so busy & work has been so hectic lately. If I don't have the quiet time with HIM, I am sure I will stumble & fall. What I have received from Jesus today is that I have to count HIS blessings everyday. It is such a blessing that I can build up an intimate relationship w HIM. No matter how tough work is, I can REST in HIM & he will refuel me. GOD is GOOD, ALL the time!

Glad to hear that Michelle is getting better :)

      In HIM,
      Lucy.

    2. Yes indeed, "intimate relationship w HIM", rest, refuel, God is good are surely the key words that our Lord wants us to learn and enjoy!
Thanks Lucy and praise the Lord that you know and experiencing the "Micro"! And, it will naturally leads to the "Macro".
