DAY 248 - Take It And Eat It

Today’s Reading: Revelation 10

Please read Revelation 10 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method:Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf. (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

Please click the links below to Revelation 10:

And he said to me, "Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel." So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. He then said to me: "Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them." Ezekiel 3: 1-3

Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land." So I went to the angel an asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn you stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."..."You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings." Revelation 10: 8-11

Prophet Ezekiel received the command of eating the scroll. With the Word of God he had something 'smelly' to say to God's people to turn back from their sins. Seven hundred years later John received the same command to eat the scroll. With the Word of God he prophesied another 'smelly' revelation to God's people to turn back from their sins!

Today, Jesus talked to me in a very simple and direct message, "You have obeyed my command the past 248 days to read my Word and to use your blog to tell people to turn back from their sins and run to me. Ask them today to repent and take my Word and eat it."

What Michelle heard is "Take it and eat it." She said she knew that she had to read through the whole Bible but she has too many excuses not doing it. Now she has no excuse and enjoys reading the Bible, having daily devotion with me every morning. She told me that besides reading one chapter a day, she will read more to respond to the Lord's call, "Take it and eat it." Do you still need to wait to read and digest God's Word?

Thanks for your prayers. Michelle didn't have fever and chill as the past three days until 8p.m.. The past three days she had exactly 38.4 degree fever and at 8p.m. she had 37.8 and a slight chill. She is getting better today, one step at a time. She also had a CT Scan today that doctors want to know if she has anything other than leukemia! When I was by her side outside the CT Scan room, I asked her, "How do you feel?" She said, "Nothing." Then I got a message from the Holy Spirit, "What I received from the Holy Spirit is that you feel like a little chicken waiting to be slaughtered. Is that what you are feeling now?" She smiled to me and said, "That's exactly how I am feeling now." Well, let's unite our prayers to remove those fears away from her and that she will be WELL! May God's healing Will be done!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to cherish what really we should cherish. That is reading and digesting your Word through daily devotion and more that so we can enter into your daily presence. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a disciple. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online disciple to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!
