DAY 19 - Do Not Be Afraid to Be Crucified
Today’s Reading: John 19
(Please read John 19: 1 – 42 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog.)
Please click the links below to John 19:
“As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!”
John 19: 6
They clothed Jesus in a purple robe to make fun of him for they thought he wanted to be a king. In three days time I am going to wear a purple robe as a bishop. The word “purple” draws my attention that it is speaking directly to me and opening my eyes to see how much pain Jesus went through.
Jesus told me today that if I follow Him, I should not be afraid to be crucified. Instead, always prepare for it. Prepare for misunderstanding, accusation and betrayal. He told me that those will be my challenges and I need to remember whenever those storms come, He will be with me helping me through.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Open my eyes to see you that I do not afraid to be crucified.. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
