"This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
Nehemiah 8: 10

What I received from Jesus today is: The joy of the Lord is your strength!

Where does the joy comes from? This chapter gives us a good examples:
1. Who are willing to listen to the Word of the Lord "attentively". (v. 3)
2. Who are willing to humble themselves and worship the Lord. (v. 6)
3. Who have leaders to make the Word "clear" of the meaning and understand. (v. 8)
4. Who are willing to give and share the joy of the Lord. (v. 10, 12)
5. Who are willing to worship the Lord in such ways required by the Lord. (vv. 14 - 18)

See how different people are trying all our best to have joy from entertainment, wealth, fame, flamboyant lifestyle ... Do you understand where does the joy comes from?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand and experience the joy of you is our strength. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
