Please click the links below to Nehemiah 11:

Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the remaining nine were to stay in their own towns. The people commended all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 11: 1-2

What I received from Jesus today is: Dear God, I don't want to go!

There was a big problem in Jerusalem. Nobody wanted to live there! As shown in verse one the leaders of the community were concentrated in Jerusalem but the city was underpopulated. They had to cast lots to decide who should relocate to the capital, one out of ten. And, it seems that there were not enough of them to make up the required one in 10(v.1) and that's why they praised the volunteers.

Well, is that the same in this age? It is not easy to ask for people to join in various ministries. The responds are usually: "I don't want to go!", "Not me, ask someone else", "May be next year", "I am too busy", "I have to take care of my children"... There are always so many reasons and excuses! There are always not enough men, there are always not enough people to say joyfully and willingly, "Oh, yes, yes. I am honored to serve the Lord in anywhere you want me to."

How about you? Are you one of those who say NO?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to know when to say NO to other people but always say YES to you. Anoint me with your fresh anointing that I know how to discern the call and do not make excuses if you call me. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
