But see, we are slaves today ... In view of all this, we are making a binding agreement, putting it in writing, and our leaders, our Levites and our priests are affixing their seals to it."

What I received from Jesus today is: Signed a contract with God, so what!
How many times have we seen this kind of return to God in the Old Testament? How many time in our lives that we want to return to God, making lots of promises and at last we fell into the same, similar or different king of sins? The truth and reality is as a human you and I can't get rid of this "foolish" cycle. Bishop Sandy Millar said during the International Alpha a month ago in London, "Only the Holy Spirit can break the power of sins. That's why we need the Holy Spirit!" That is perhaps one of the most important message I have heard in my life and the message is so simple. Seems everybody knows but not everybody understand and willing to ask the Holy Spirit to come into our lives and break the power of sins!
It is not how many books you read or how many course you attend. It is not how much work in your church helping people. Yes, they are all important but only the Holy Spirit can break the power of sins so that we can be free at last! And that we live out a lifestyle of Christlikeness that Jesus is Lord!
Do you understand? Are you willing to invite the Holy Spirit to come to fill you that the power of sins can be broken.
Dear Holy Spirit,
Come and fill us that we can be able to help us to break the power of sins. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
