Today's Reading: Psalm 55
Please read Psalm 55 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf. (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

我要向山舉目(詩篇121篇) I lift up my eyes to the hills (Psalm 121) Please click the links below to Psalm 55:
If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were raising himself against me, I could hide from him.
But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend.
with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship as we walked with the throng at the house of God.
Psalm 55: 12-14
But as for me, I trust in you. Psalm 55: 23
What I received from Jesus today is: No matter what, I trust in you!
The pain of David may be because of the betrayal of his son, Absalom. How painful it could be as a father to have his son wanted to kill him.
But, David chose to trust in God no matter what. How about you?
I am so joyful to receive a few emails of encouragement today. You never know how much it means to me when I so needed encouragements to pull all my effort for the final dash of my final thesis! I was so discouraged yesterday and could not do anything after 3a.m. and I went to sleep. Today, I think that many of you have been praying for me. I got extra strength and finish the last chapter with the conclusion. But, I still have chapter six to finish and then I'm done! Please pray for me that I can finish chapter six tomorrow!
I need to share with you another email of encouragement from Bob in Calgary. I got Bob's permission to post his email for your encouragement.
Bishop Silas: Thank you for sharing about how close you are to completing your D.Min. work at Fuller – I/we wanted to offer you much encouragement and to Bless you as you make the final push to complete your thesis and degree. It reminded me (Bob) of a long time ago of too many sleepless nights when I was trying to finish my Ph.D. thesis in Geology at the same time as just starting a new job … the big difference is that you are asking God for help and I was trying to do it on my own strength … and what a difference. The joy of the Lord is indeed our strength and may He give you the strength and wisdom not only to finish but to finish well! He will surely complete the good work that He has begun in you! May The Lord Bless you richly and sustain you as you finish well – in Jesus’ Name! Bob & Margot P.S. Congrats also on what He has accomplished in you in your coursework – (at the same time as serving as a Rector, a Bishop, a Discipler, a Husband, a Father, a humble Leader, a Friend … remarkable … Praise God!) |
Help us to trust in you no matter what.
Jesus name we pray. Amen.
