Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week then prayerfully remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. Psalm 60: 4
What I received from Jesus today is: Raise the banner to win!
In the old time when nations were at war, soldiers raise the national flag or the banner of a general or a king. Remember that five American soldiers to put up the American flag when they got that island from the fierce fight with the Japanese soldiers?
David said in this psalm God gives a banner to those who fear God. The fear of God is the No. 1 most important concept in the Old Testament. When we fear the Lord than we have no fear for anything happen in our life because God is with us.
Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.
Psalm 128: 1
The banner also means to fight a war in unity following the leader God appointed no matter he or she is a king, queen, general or any leader who has got a banner. If you are a member of a church than you church has a church banner which means you need to follow the leadership of you Senior Priest. There won't be several banners for an army for the banner means unity. We cannot fight all raising our own banner. Head up and know who's the leader God gives the banner to and follow. Then you guys will win and God will be glorified!
I received the bishop's seal from the Lord three months before I was consecrated as a bishop on September 9, 2009. The meaning I got from the Lord is God consecrated me as a bishop to lead those in Canada under the Anglican Mission's banner, the three streams: Charismatic, Evangelical and Catholic. With Jesus as Lamb of God bearing the banner of victory of the Cross to uphold us. Is that wonderful brothers and sisters!
Now, let me give you a real picture of me as a bishop like a general. If each one of you or each rector raise up your own banner not following your bishop's leadership. What kind of war would that be? That's why John Stott thought the most important chapter in the Bible is John 17. Because Jesus knew the major task for Satan is to pull unity away and Jesus wanted His apostles to know unity is the key. But, unity in His truth!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to raise the banner from you in unity to win.
