Today's Reading: Ezra 4

Please read Ezra 4 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf. (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

Please click the links below to Ezra 4:

Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building. They hired counselors to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.
Ezra 4: 4-5

When we try our best to build God's ministries we would most probably face with the same challenges that the Israelites faced: discouragement(v. 4), opposition force (v.5), frustration (v.6) and letter of accusation (v. 8). I experienced all four in the past few years and praise the Lord that those plans never pull me down but make me and our leaders more strong and faithful.

What is the secret to win those discouragements and oppositions? It is always unity, unity and unity! The first thing is we have to promise God that we would not be part of those people to discourage, oppose, frustrate and writing letter of accusation. The second thing is we stay in unity and trusting each others to fight this spiritual warfare to build the body of Christ. The third thing is if you know there is someone who wants to discourage, oppose and spreading rumours then you need to help them not to do those negative things but to build up the body of Christ with all they've got.

Dear Holy Spirit,
Come and fill us that we can stay in unity in the midst of all kinds of confusion, misunderstanding and discouragements. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
