There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions. .. So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.

Ezra 8: 21, 23

What I received from Jesus today is: Fasting first!

What would happen if they didn't fast? I don't know! What I know is Ezra said God answered their prayer because of their fasting and then every good things that they could think of happened. Is fasting really so powerful? Yes, I am very sure. We fast not for getting what we want but for breaking the Devil's opposition force. Fasting is the most effective "spiritual bullet" so far I know. It's a way as said by Ezra to humble ourselves and to ask God to intervene.

Do I fast? Yes, I do. How many days a year I fast usually? About 50 to sometime 100 days. How do I fast? I skip a main meal a day for a certain period of time. Fasting for what? For those Kingdom work God calls you to.

When you read this, you are being invited to regularly use this "spiritual weapon" to fight a good fight for our Lord Jesus Christ. Are you willing to join us?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help me to be willing and able to fast and pray. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
