Bible Study

Tyre is somewhat like New York, London or Beijing nowadays, it was the world's centre of commerce. It had a great fleet of commercial trade ships bringing merchandise and treasures to many nations. Ezekiel describes Tyre as having its beauty to perfection. Yet God's judgment would break Tyre like a ship into pieces and many would mourn its destruction.

If it happen to New York, London or Beijing one day, would you mourn for their destruction? What would you got from that kind of destruction? Would it change your lifestyle, at least a little bit?

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: Beauty to perfection, so what!

Lots of people pursue for beauty, even beauty to perfection in all kinds of things. And quite a number of famous people when they have that kind of beauty to perfection no matter is their physical beauty, their wealth, their power, their standard of life, their..., they become arrogant and full of pride. Making hard times for people because they want everything to be perfect. That's how Tyre as a city was before. What could Ezekiel's prophesy change? It can't change the city of the people. But, it might have a chance to change you!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us not to follow Tyre's arrogant and pride that we will not meet that kind of judgment from you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
