“Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.” John 13: 1

A pastor shared how painful it was when he was being betrayed by his good friend whom he knew since seminary. He asked me, “Have you been betrayed like that before?” I said, “Yes, many, many times. A few years ago when I was in deep sorrow Jesus comforted me and said, 'That’s why even I have a Judas. In one of my most beloved twelve apostles, I have one. So, in every one of twelve leaders you trained, there might be one too. You should be ready for that pain.' When he heard that, tears running from his face and I prayed for him to meet this challenge of his “Leadership Moment”.

When I was reading John 13, Jesus told me more, more to prepare me to show the full extent of His love, “Can you wash your Judas feet as I did?”

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for bringing up all those faces who betrayed me. I need your blood to wash away all those hurting still deep down in my soul. Holy Spirit, come, give me your fresh anointing that I can be able to have a willingness and love to wash my Judas feet. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
