Now, I, King Artaxeres, order all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates to provide with diligence whatever Ezra the priest, a teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you.
Ezra 7: 21

What I received from Jesus today is: Provide with diligence to God's servants

What if Ezra did not have King Artaxerxes order of his full financial support?

Read what Ezra said and guess what he really thought:

"Praise be to the Lord, the God of our fathers, who has put it into the king's heart to bring honor to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem in this way and who has extended his good favor to me before the king and his advisers and all the king's powerful officials. Because the hand of the Lord my God was on me, I took courage and gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me."

What I got from Ezra's words are these:
1. He was being encouraged, strengthened and equipped to do God's work.
2. He experienced God's presence by those provision that he had the courage to gather leaders to go to Jerusalem to do the "impossible mission".

So, what have you got from this chapter today? I do hope and pray that we as God's servants need your financial support that we have enough resource to do God's "impossible mission". Without your provision with diligence to our ministries God's work will be hampered!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to provide with diligence to your servants. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
