What I received from Jesus today is: The secret to get out of depression
According to some studies, in ten years time the No. 1 killer is not cancer or heart attack but would be depression. This Psalm is perhaps one of the best chapters to help people to get out of depression.
Today I got quite a number of important message from our Lord Jesus Christ. Those messages touches my heart and I pray and hope that they touches your heart too.
1. Anyone can against you!
Yesterday's topic of Psalm 2 is "No one can against God". And today is a chapter telling us that in our lifetime anyone can against us. The title of this Psalm as in the Bible is "A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom". If you would like to know what happened you can read 2 Samuel 15: 1 to 18: 33. David ran in a haste to get away from his son Absalom and his twelve thousand soldiers' pursuit to kill him. Who could get more depressed than David in this crisis? And, David's was God's chosen king and His faithful servant. So, if David could be pursuit like that we might not be able to escape from similar kind of pursuit from the Devil's well planned crisis. The question is how can we get out of those crisis?
2. All kinds of possible signs of depression could happen to David
You can find all kind of possible signs of depression in this chapter including:
a. Mock by other people that God leaves you. (v. 2)
b. Feel shameful of your immense failure and cannot lift up your head. (v. 3)
c. No answer from God. (v. 4)
d. Cannot sleep and when wake up cannot do anything because of fear and unable to confront what is going to happen to you and countless people against you.(v. 5-6)
e. No one can save you and deliver you from the big wave of destruction. (v. 7)
3. All kinds of help from the Lord to help David to get away from a major depression
a. Do not need to be influenced by other people's words. (v. 2)
b. Experience the protection of God as a shield around him and bestow glory and honor to him that he could lift up his head. (v. 3)
c. A clear answer from God when he cried out for help. (v. 4)
d. Could sleep well and no fear of future when he woke up. (v. 5-6)
e. God saved him and delivered him from all kinds of attack and destruction. (v. 7)
Do you know how it could happen to David? It is a daily intimate personal relationship with God! Because no one can against God but anyone can against you!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know the secret of depression is to have a daily intimate personal relationship with you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
