"Return, faithless people;

Bible Study
Jeremiah told the Israelites that they way they turn to false gods for fulfillment and satisfaction is equivalent to spiritual adultery. Their involving in the religious practices of surrounding nations including cult prostitution makes them to be like prostitute selling themselves and their nation to the devil.
That's how Israel, the northern kingdom, had been rebellious and unfaithful toward God that they had been carried away into captivity by Assyria in 722B.C.(v. 6). And Judah, the southern kingdom, should have learned from her sister's tragic experience, but did not. She too gave herself to spiritual prostitution and wickedness.
If they return to the Lord, then everything will be changed. God will give them good shepherds and there will be a day that they will experience the visibly presence of the Messiah that they do not need to Ark of the Covenant anymore.
The reality is, neither Israel nor Judah returned! And you know the whole nation of Israel was gone for since 587B.C. until 1948!
What is the reality in your spiritual life? Do you need to return too before it is too late?
My Spiritual Journal
What I receive from Jesus is: Return! Return! Return!
Today Jesus asked me to count the words "return" and "faithless". So I counted and I find out there the word "return" appears seven times, the word "faithless" appears five times, three times "faithless Israel" and two times "faithless people".
Are we faithful disciples of Jesus or are we faithless people running away from God and worshiping other gods?
It's so easy to walk away from God thinking that we are still a Christian!
It's so difficult to understand that we need to return to God!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know we need to return to you if we have already walk too far from you. Embrace us each day with your love that we experience the joy of being with you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
