Today's Reading: 2 Chronicles 20

Please read 2 Chronicles 20 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf. Please click the links below to 2 Chronicles 20:

Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness.
2 Chronicles 20: 35

What I received from Jesus today is: How can you do that to me?

After how God miraculously saved king Jehoshaphat he failed God again by doing the same thing as before: made an alliance with a wicked king.

King Jehoshaphat did all those things he learned and knew to ask for God's help: call a fasting of the whole nation, to claim the prayer of king Solomon(2 Chronicles 6: 26 - 31), he listened and obeyed to what the prophet Jahaziel told him not to do anything but to take up their positions and he sent the choirs and musicians to praise God like what Israel did when they defeated the powerful city of Jericho. Then, wow, "God set ambushes(angles) against the men of Ammon ad Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated." (v. 22)

But, after God gave rest on eery side, king Jehoshaphat failed God again!

One of the couples group I was leading(Andrew and Lucy Ng's group)used this chapter yesterday to be our devotion yesterday and we decided to have a three days fasting starting tomorrow. To cut a lunch or dinner from Monday to Wednesday. To pray that we will not fall into the same trap and mine field of king Jehoshaphat: PRIDE and SELF-CENTRENESS!

We need a daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus so that we won't fail God after all those miraculous helps in our lives!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to fail you again. In Jesus name we pray . Amen.
