Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week then prayerfully remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. Bible Study

This chapter gives us a sad news of how King Hezekiah could not finish well because of his fear and his pride.

His fear was because of the power of Assyria. Instead of trusting God he sought a political alliance with the king of Babylon. His pride was because his unguarded openness with the representatives of Babylon and their gifts. It demonstrated a lack of faith in God and a prideful lack of respect for God's ownership of Judah's riches. Isaiah prophesied that the Babylonians someday would destroy Jerusalem and steal its treasures (v. 6). The worst thing is that after King Hezekiah heard that prophecy from Isaiah he did not repent because of his pride but told Isaiah that he didn't care if there would be peace and security in his lifetime. Then there isn't anything about king Hezekiah in the Bible from then on. So sad that such a powerful and faithful king could not finish well!

My Spiritual Journal

What I received from Jesus today is: Pride leads you not finishing well!

Jesus leads me to feel the fear of King Hezekiah and how God took his fear away two times miraculously. In the peak of his victory God gave him a severe sickness that could kill him to humble him and suppress his pride because God well knew what was in him. But, it's sad that Hezekiah didn't get it!

Tonight around 150 people came to Richmond Emmanuel Church to see a play - Mark's Project. It was such a simple and yet powerful play using the whole Gospel of Mark to lead us to see who Jesus is.

The last line was the most powerful moment. It's about the last scene of the Gospel of Mark of what Jesus rebuked his eleven apostles for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

It was so powerful when Jesus said, "Why are you afraid? Why are you afraid?", then he walked down and looked at that person still on the stage.

Wow! I was shaking because Jesus revealed all those fear I have had these few months. So many! Then I felt Jesus looked right into my eyes and said, "I am your King, why are you afraid?"

Thank you Lord! I got it! Thank you!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for this chapter and today's Mark Project that I am not going to be afraid any more because you are my King and King of all Kings. Teach me to have a humble heart that I will not step into Hezekiah's footsteps that I cannot finish well. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
