Please click the links below to Jeremiah 14:

"Why are you like a man taken by surprise,
like a warrior powerless to save?
You are among us, O Lord,
and we bear your name;
do not forsake us!

This is what the Lord says about this people:
"They greatly love to wander;
they do not restrain their feet.
So the Lord does not accept them;
he will now remember their wickedness
and punish them for their sins."
Jeremiah 14: 9-10

Bible Study

Jeremiah speaks of the terrible situation of a drought on the people and the land. God sent this natural disaster to Judah during its final years because of their stubbornness and unfaithfulness.

The waiter I met yesterday in California told us that he wanted to leave US for Canada because he thinks US is going down fast and he wants to be there. I said, "That's because the nation is moving away from God and everything happens! But, Canada may be the same so the answer is you need to go to Jesus and not Canada. Jesus is the only salvation!" I do not know how much he gets that. But what he was describing yesterday night is a similar situation in this chapter. He and many people in US are experiencing a "drought" in finance and everything seems moving downward.

How many people know that the reason of this "drought" may be due to quite a number of Americans are leaving God just as the Jews leaving God 2,600 years ago. Canada is not in a better situation!

So, if you are Americans and Canadians, you need to pray for the "return" of these two nations to God!

My Spiritual Journal

What I receive from Jesus is: I don't deserve this!

Jesus gives me a situation in North America that many people who have lost their jobs or in a poor finance or other situation would say that they don't deserve this. Well, you need to know this is only a "finance drought" but not a natural drought or earthquake. If that is a natural drought people may be in a worse condition. But, what's the difference, drought is drought and we are in a drought! People think that they don't deserve that but that may not be true!

So, return to God before it is too late!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that we are in a drought and that we need to return to you. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
