Bible Study

This chapter teaches us a very important lesson about false prophet. Hananiah predicted Babylon's demise and the return of the captives and temple treasures within two years. False religious leaders often predict God's unconditional blessings - because that is what people want to hear. In the precess, they overlook the need for repentance and holy living because these spiritual necessities do not appeal to most people.

The message that Jeremiah received that this false prophet will die within two months happened. The penalty for spiritual rebellion and false prophecy is high. We better watch out!

My Spiritual Journal

What I receive from Jesus is: Eat your own fruit! Die!

We need to know that God's has a bottom line to things. But, most people, just like this false prophet think that God's blessing is unconditional. Why? Because that is what people want to hear.

Watch out! We tends to just listen to what we want to hear but close our ears that we can't or we don't want to hear those things we don't want to hear. The sad thing is that by doing this we will eat our own fruit even to the point that we will die for our fault.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be careful so that we won't say things like those false prophet. Lead us each day that we can bear much fruit. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
