The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,100 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,100 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!

Today's Reading: Haggai 1

Please read Haggai 1 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. Bible Study

Haggai is the first of three prophetic books in the Old Testament (Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi) written after many of God's people had returned from exile throughout what was at that time the Persian Empire. King Cyrus of Persia permitted 50,000 exiled Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the city and its temple.  The former captives returned under the leadership of Zerubbabel as governor and Joshua the high priest.  During the second year of the return (536/535 B.C.), the temple foundation was laid (Ezr 3: 8-10) However, opposition from neighboring peoples, including the Samaritans, brought work on the temple to a halt (Ezr 4: 1-5), 24).  After this, the Jewish people had become spiritually apathetic and neglected the temple project for 16 years.

This chapter is about how God sent the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to encourage his people to resume work on the temple.

If your church does not have a permanent building and has been renting a place for quite some time, or if your church need a new location, how can your people discern whether it is Gods' command to build you new church or just human thoughts?

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: It's time to build God's temple!
What I received from Jesus today is a message for me and our people at Richmond Emmanuel Church to start the process of discerning God's will whether we should purchase a land to build our church after 16 years of renting several places. Actually ten years ago our Vestry passed a motion unanimously to build and land and build a church of a 3.8 million dollars budget. We did not have any reserved fund at that time but we dared to make that decision. Three months after that decision we left the Anglican Church of Canada because of the same sex blessing being passed in the Diocesan synod and we opposed to that standing firm on Biblical ground. The whole process has been hold up until now.

At that time we had about 150 people a Sunday and no reserved fund. Now we have around 350 people a Sunday with just about $200,000 reserved fund. And if we want to purchase a land and build a church we need at least six million dollars. Quite a number of our people have received confirmation from the Lord that this is the time including me. The question is, can we have another unanimous vote if time comes to have a Vestry to make this important decision? How many of us are willing to try all our best to offer money so that we can have that mount? We can't do that, but God can.

So, please pray for us that we have a good discernment process and that we trust our Lord will provide!

"You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the Lord Almighty.
"Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house."                          Haggai 1: 9

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have the courage as your prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi to say what you want us to say so that our people will soon know this is the time to build your temple. Help us to know we cannot do it but your are our provider. We do our best, you do the rest. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to experience this kind of deep love from you. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
