It was this same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, "Bring the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions." Exodus 6: 26

"But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt, he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment. I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites."

Exodus 7: 3-4

I asked a member of my church last yesterday, "Do you have daily devotions?" She dropped her head and said, "No, I know that I should but I don't!" Today I met another member of my church in Richmond Centre and I asked the same question. She dropped her head again and said, "I know that I should and I have been thinking that I need to start that again." I shook hands with her and she promised me that she is going to start tonight. I hope she is really going to! She said, "Your statistic of less than 10% of Christians having daily devotion is so true. It's a big problem!"

Well, not only so. To have an intimate relationship with Jesus needs daily devotion; It is a must with no excuse. But here in this chapter shows more than that. God does not only expect us to be in an intimate relationship with Him but He also wants us to know that we are part of His Army. He asked Moses and Aaron to bring out His army by their divisions in 6: 26. God said he was going to bring out His divisions, his people out of Egypt. EXODUS! Are you a free man or are you in bondage, in Egypt! Only if we know and start finding our 'division' and know our captain will we have a chance to be free and lead others free! You and I are soldiers. We need to know that. It is not what you used to say, "Well, I know but I don't have time. I think I am going to start. I am ...." What kind of soldier would that be? Which country has this kind of "my way" soldier?

Do you know your division? Who's your Captain? Fire up and rise up to be a good soldier for Jesus!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to know our division and our captain; train us so that we can listen and obey to be your good soldiers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a discipler. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online discipler to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!

    1. Dear Silas,

The following is my daily devotion reflection on 2/7, which I feel echoes with your daily devotion reflection =)

[Alice]
