And when the Israelites saw the great power the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.

Exodus 14: 31

Today I had a vivid, intimate, wonderful and humourous experience of how Jesus talks to me through daily devotion. I have one of my most favourite verse in this chapter, 14: 13-14. Oh, I loved it so much tjat I swiftly drew a conclusion that this was what the Lord wanted to encourage me again. And as I wrote down the title "Be Still, God Will Fight for you", Jesus said, "Wait! No, this is not what I want you to write." Then I read this chapter once again and stopped at the last verse. He then said, "Yes, this is it. Tell them that what they need to do is to trust my servant. Without this, nothing can be done!"

Yes, for all those great miraculous deeds, God just wanted the Israelites to trust Moses. Trusting Moses totally means trusting God totally. When that trusting relationship happens, anything can be done. So, why don't you pause for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to review all those moments in your life when the Deceiver came in to pull the trust away from a servant of God. What happened after that? Disconnected, discouraged, disunity, division, bitterness, anger ...

The work of the Holy Spirit makes the dry bones, as described in Ezekiel, become living persons and can stand up on their feet to become a vast army of God. But the Deceiver always trys all his best to turn this upside down to make Christians unable to trust and follow their leaders so that one group, one church, one army, one nation, more groups, more churches, more armies, more nations become stagnant and unable to do what an army can do!

I do hope that more Christians can trust their leaders so that when they call them to pray, they come to pray; when they call them to serve, they come without any excuse! You really need to trust God's servant!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help more Christians to trust their leaders so that we can lead them in your way. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Michelle had almost the lowest record of her white cell today 0.6 and the baby cell is 0.3. Other reading are fine. So, the dropping is fast and it should be good. The bad thing is that along this line, next Tuesday might be the worst day in which she might get fever and everything down to the bottom. But, next Tuesday, July 13, will be our 25th Wedding Anniversary! So, could you pray for us that at least she can enjoy this important day at home and I can think out of something to make her day!

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a discipler. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online discipler to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!
