Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the slave born in your household, and the alien as well, may be refreshed. Exodus 23:12
I got a text message just a few minutes ago at 12:45a.m. and this is my answer:
I need to write my blog so I am still up but you don't have to stay that late and you need to go to sleep.
Well, we like to work and work and work but God commanded us to rest. Even the land needs rest after six years and God commanded them to let the land lie unplowed and usused. According to quite a number of commentaries, they didn't listen and Israelites suffered a lot because of that.
Many Christians and leaders suffer a lot because we work and work and work and have no rest or not enough rest. Next time I have my holiday, I really can't check my e-mails or work for I really need some real "unplowed" and "unused" doing nothing but just resting time with Michelle!
How about you? Have you been working too hard lately? How are the words of our Lord giving challenges to you so that you have a renewed way to listen to Him to rest in His own way?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to get away from the lifestyle of a workaholic and know how to have rest according to your laws. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I thought Michelle's white cell reading should be 1.0 today but it didn't happen and it was the same as yesterday 0.6. And, she had to have one bag of blood transfusion and then another bag tomorrow. Let's pray that in two weeks time she can be over 4.0 again and can go back to church and everywhere!
My son, Ignatius, is in Ethiopia for a three weeks mission. He has been accepted by Regent College to start his Master of Divinity degree program this coming September. Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing: http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
To encourage you to click his blog, here are the first few lines of his sharing a few days ago in his blog and some pictures. That is so awesome!

It’s such a joy to witness the awesome power of the Holy Spirit moving among the Christians here. As we were worshiping at Dukum MKC church, there was so much singing, shouting, dancing, and a glorious exaltation of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is working so powerfully among the people here and no one holds back in worship.
Free. Full-hearted. Open. Jubilant.
That is worship.
Although I did not understand a word they say (with the exception of Jésus), I was worshiping in spirit and in truth. Can you imagine a church made of mud and steel plating, and yet it is FILLED with passionate worshipers who want only to praise God with their whole heart, body, mind, and soul? WOW!
Yesterday we went to visit 2 homes. At the first house we visited a girl and her sister, cousin, and mom...
