The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week then prayerfully remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!

Today's Reading: Isaiah 37

Bible Study

This is perhaps one of the best example of how to live on in times of great trouble. There are six steps that we can learn from this classical example:
1. Repent (vv. 1-2): King Hezekiah and his official all put on sackcloth is a sign of repentance and mourning before the Lord. King Hezekiah went into the temple showed a good example that the most important for us to do during the most critical and life threatening situation is to go to be as close as we can to the Lord. In Old Testament case is to go to His temple because that was the plead of King Solomon as in 2 Chronicles 6: 26 - 31)

2. Seek help from God's servant (vv. 2-7): King Hezekiah sent his officials to seek help from Isaiah and to received God's words of comfort and assurance.

3. Meet the challenge (vv. 8-13): The met the challenges and intimidation from king of Assyria.

4. Pray and Trust (vv. 14- 20): The most important thing we need to do when face with challenge and attack is one word here: PRAY. Pray and then trust God will listen to your prayers.

5. Receive God's re-confirmation and direction (vv. 21- 35)
a. Re-confirmation (vv. 21-35): God told Isaiah to give King Hdzekiah a re-confirmation of what he was going to do, to totally destroy the Assyrian army.
b. Rooted and Fruitful (vv. 30-33): God re-confirmed His promise to protect Judah and to destroy the Assyrian army. Then God gave them a new direction for their future if they wanted to live - rooted and fruitful.

6. When God acts (vv. 36-37): When God acts, everything is possible. God sent just one angel killing 185,000 Assyrian armies.

My Spiritual Journal

What I received from Jesus today is: Rooted and fruitful

The message I got today is beyond this mighty saving act. I've got two things:
1. Rooted and fruitful - Even after God save us we need to be rooted and fruitful. Not going back to the old-self of rootless and fruitless.

2. Don't forget to follow God's direction when your crisis is over: God saved Judah and King Hezekiah in a mighty way. But, human beings are so easily to forget everything when our crises is over and resume of old lifestyle and "old" everything. God usually use our crisis to teach us a lesson of how great He is and how much He wants us to rely on Him totally.

Do you have similar kind of crisis that you want to get through? How can this process help you in the future to get out of trouble by God's mighty power and grace. And, how can we change our lives from rootless and fruitless to rooted and fruitful?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to trust you and to experience your mighty power. Bless us to be rooted and fruitful. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
