The Lord said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give."

Exodus 25:1-2

Many people including Christians feel uneasy to make a significance offering. Many Christians do not think that they need to give one tenth(tithing) of what they have. How sad it is!

God does not want Israelites' offering until they entered into a loving covenantal relationship with Him. Sometimes the first test for a newly wedded couple is how they are willing to share their money together. If you love someone, you would try all your best to show your love in all kinds of way. Making a significance offering to God is a test as to whether God is our true God or money is our true God. After all, everything you have in this world you can not hold when you leave this world. But the offerings you made to show how much you love God can build up the Church and can bring numerous souls to heaven. You can see your money when you are in heaven but you can see those saved souls there!

Tithing of Christians should go to their own churches and then they can make offerings to support other ministries in their churches or outside their churches. I have been asked by quite some people whether I need them to make a significance offering to the Bishop's Fund. The answer is "yes", for I need money to support the church planting, clergy and leaders training and development and other important ministries. If you are moved today to make an offering, you are welcome to mail a check to either our ACiC office or Richmond Emmanuel Church payable to either "ACiC" or "Richmond Emmanuel Church" designated to "Bishop's Fund".

God does not want our offerings until we enter into a loving, intimate and faithful relationship with Him. God give us the honor and opportunity to make offerings. This is for His own glory and helps us to pass the test that money is not our God but God is our true God!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help me to love you and willing to offer my all to you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

HELLO HOLY SPIRIT!

It’s such a joy to witness the awesome power of the Holy Spirit moving among the Christians here. As we were worshiping at Dukum MKC church, there was so much singing, shouting, dancing, and a glorious exaltation of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is working so powerfully among the people here and no one holds back in worship.

Free. Full-hearted. Open. Jubilant.

That is worship.

Although I did not understand a word they say (with the exception of Jésus), I was worshiping in spirit and in truth. Can you imagine a church made of mud and steel plating, and yet it is FILLED with passionate worshipers who want only to praise God with their whole heart, body, mind, and soul? WOW!

Yesterday we went to visit 2 homes. At the first house we visited a girl and her sister, cousin, and mom...

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a discipler. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online discipler to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!

    1. Dr Brian Kluth's research: "Eighty-five percent who read the Bible 4 to 7 times per week are more than 2 times more likely to donate 10 percent or more of their income than those who do not read the Bible (40 percent).
...For those who read their Bible 7 times a week, they carried fewer debt obligations – 50 percent had mortgage payments, 31 percent had car payments, and 24 percent had credit card bills beyond 30 days old. These percentages were much lower than those who never read their Bible – 80 percent had mortgage payments, 53 percent had car payments, and 53 percent had credit card bills beyond 30 days old."

This shows the value of the daily quiet time and bible reading being encouraged in this blog
