Today's Reading: Exodus 26

Please read Exodus 26 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method:Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf. Message: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus 26&version=MSG

See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

Exodus 25: 40

Set up the tabernacle according to the plan shown you on the mountain.

Exodus 26:30

God commanded Moses to make everything according to the pattern and plan he shown Moses on the mountain. So do you think Moses had a whole pack of notebooks and write it down just like a secretary writing down detailed legal document for a court case? Read carefully, would you write that down and tell others to do it exactly as you were told? Would anybody listen to you and do you have the courage to say it out like those detailed and seemingly nonsense requirements?

Well, what Jesus told me today is very simple - it's never easy to listen and obey! This is a test, an exercise for the Israelites to learn and practice listen and obey. Don't worry, this won't come to you unless you have that covenantal relationship with God. If you are having that daily intimate relationship with God then have you got any pattern or plan from the Lord recently? Do you have courage to do it? Do you have courage to ask other people to do it? Well, it's never easy to listen and obey!

I would like to share a wonderful example of listen and obey that how the 150 million Canadian dollars "Vintage Garden" Community Church and Senior Condo of our Asian Initiative Toronto Emmanuel Church happens after ten years of preparation. What you can see in the first picture is the South Tower of 175 Senior one to two bedrooms Senior Condo units starting pre-sale phase next February. The building will be completed in 2012 then the North Tower of more than 300 similar units, a community centre and a 300 seats new church and 100 seats chapel completed in 2015. You can see how our Board members choosing the suitable logo for this newly named project "Vintage Garden" and how joyful Archbishop Yong and Bishop TJ and every board members were when they saw this pattern and plan from God really happened! With the limited resource of ACiC and AI how can we afford to have a 150 million dollars building project! Well, it's never easy to listen and obey, but once we learn how to listen and obey we will understand what Kingdom work really can be! Praise the Lord for giving us opportunities to listen and obey!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help me to learn and practice listen and obey to you and you alone daily. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

HELLO HOLY SPIRIT!

July 13, 2010, 3:42 am

It’s such a joy to witness the awesome power of the Holy Spirit moving among the Christians here. As we were worshiping at Dukum MKC church, there was so much singing, shouting, dancing, and a glorious exaltation of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is working so powerfully among the people here and no one holds back in worship.

Free. Full-hearted. Open. Jubilant.

That is worship.

Although I did not understand a word they say (with the exception of Jésus), I was worshiping in spirit and in truth. Can you imagine a church made of mud and steel plating, and yet it is FILLED with passionate worshipers who want only to praise God with their whole heart, body, mind, and soul? WOW!

Yesterday we went to visit 2 homes. At the first house we visited a girl and her sister, cousin, and mom...

Welcome! The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to have daily devotion - a wonderful and intimate time with Jesus.
There are three reasons for you to use this blog as your daily devotion:
1. A healthy spiritual diet - One chapter of the Bible daily. We really need at least one chapter of Bible daily so that we are well fed.
2. A good example of Spiritual Journaling - What I have committed for 1,189 days(the Bible has 1,189 chapters)to write this daily post is not for teaching purposes but this is my daily spiritual journal - I write down what I hear from Jesus and how I experience His intimate relationship with me each day. I have launched a wide-spectrum research on daily devotion and have found out that there are less than 10% of Christians that are having daily devotion. Out of that 10%, many having daily devotion are doing so because of guilt (they know that they are Christians and need to have daily devotion and feel guilty if they don’t do that), duty (they need to fulfill their duty as a Christian) or study(lots of Christians primarily use their daily devotion as a time to study the Bible). I do pray and hope that you will make up your mind to have a relational daily devotion so that you can have an intimate time with Jesus. I pray that you will write your own spiritual journal as well.
3. An online discipler – One of the reasons that so many Christians do not have daily devotion is because they do not have a discipler. A discipler can help them build up this basic element of discipleship when they first become Christians. The best way for you is to have a discipler to walk with you for a certain period of time so that daily devotion become a good habit. Or, you may have a small group of two to three people to encourage and be accountable to each other so that you won’t stop your daily devotion. I offer myself as your online discipler to walk with you daily to enrich your spiritual journey. So, shall we start this journey with Jesus Christ our Lord now!
