“We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust. Acts 14: 22- 23

I see the order changed at this chapter. Before this chapter, it is Barnabas and Paul. Then after the life and death situation of Paul, the order is from now on: Paul and Barnabas. Barnabas, the teacher and the leader-in-charge has become the second chair, and Paul took over from him.

I also see some very familiar terms that a Christian leader usually face: Stir up some people and to poison their minds, to stone and kill, must go through many hardships…

Do not be afraid of hardships! It is because of all these hardships that we are being trained to be raised up to a new level to extend His Kingdom! Is that great!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me not to be afraid of hardships, and to be sure that they are just challenges for me to be raised up to a new level to serve you and extend your Kingdom. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
