DAY 144 - Follow me

Today’s Reading: 1 Corinthians 11

Please read 1 Corinthians 11: 1 – 34 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf . (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

Please click the links below to 1 Corinthians 11:

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11: 1

Jesus says it very loudly today many times when I read this chapter using just two words:

Follow me!

He challenges me whether I can do three things:

1. Follow Jesus example daily.

2. Set myself as an example for others to follow so that they can follow Jesus.

3. Have the courage to say out loudly: Follow me

Paul states in the last chapter the consequence of following the wrong things: idolatry, sexual immorality, testing the Lord and grumbling. Paul also states clearly some directions in this chapter regarding dealing with unworthy manners in worship. Most Christians thinks they follow Jesus but they don’t need to follow their leaders. How much pride we have to think that we are following Jesus but not our leaders? Why can't you just follow your leaders?!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to set myself as an example for others and have courage to call people to follow me in order to follow you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Can we follow our King, our Shepherd, our Lord Jesus Christ to use an hour’s time to pray for His protection and blessings to my new ministry as the Bishop of ACiC/AI, all our ACiC/AI clergy, leaders and people? Pray that in the Holy and Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we can win over Satan's tricks, in order to strengthen our brothers and sisters so that His Kingdom will be extended. Please click this new link to participate in our 2nd phase 100 days/24 hours Prayer Campaign (Nov 29, 2009 to March 8, 2010)
