Bible Study

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3: 22-23

Verse 23 is where the great hymn "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" comes from!
This chapter gives us a picture of the suffering people of Israel as a human being who is experiencing God's punishment, yet who still has the hope of being restored to his purpose and a right relationship with God. A person with this hope understands the truth that God's love and help will come to those who repent and wait patiently for God's plan to take its course. (vv. 22-27)

If you are in suffering, you need to give thanks to the Lord for thinking of you just like He thinks and care for the Israelites.

If you are not in suffering, put this message into your memory system that when suffering comes you know what to do.

But most of all, you need to give thanks to the Lord for thinking of you, remembering you.

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.
I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
Lamentations 3: 19-21

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: Thank you for thinking of me!

Lots of time when we receive a kind word, an encouragement, a card or anything from some people to us we are so joyful. Not because of the gift but of how someone thinks of you!

Today, I deeply feel how Jesus thinks of me especially in the time of my suffering. That kind of feeling that Jesus is thinking of me is so, so encouraging!

Let's keep this feeling deep down in our hearts and that we can think of more people and to pray for them!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that you are thinking and loving us each day. Each day is such a new and wonderful day because great is your faithfulness. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
