Please click the links below to Jeremiah 11:

"Tell them that this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:
'Cursed is the man who does not obey the terms of this covenant -
the terms I commanded your forefathers when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the iron-smelting furnace.'
I said, 'Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.'
Jeremiah 11: 3-4

Bible Study

Israel's relationship with God was based on the covenant God had made with their forefathers. The covenant was a "life agreement" based on God's laws and promises and on the people's obedience and faithfulness to God. But they persisted in defying Gd and following false gods. As a result, the covenant curses for disobedience would go into effect (Dt. 28).

The disobedience was in such a bad shape that God told Jeremiah not to intercede for the people. God had determined not to help them when their time of destruction came.

It's not easy to understand when God says, "Cursed is the man who does not obey", He really means it!

My Spiritual Journal

What I receive from Jesus is: Curse is the man who does not obey!

Jesus reminds me of the Beatitudes in Matthew 5: 1-14, "Blessed are the poor in spirit....". The last few chapters shows clearly how stubborn and rebellious the Israelites were and they were being cursed because of their disobedience.

How can we try all our best to follow Jesus daily and be anointed by the Holy Spirit that we can be blessed daily because of our obedience?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to follow you and to be able to listen and obey to your lead. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
