Bible Study

This chapter shows us the big difference of courageously standing firm and being chickened out. Jeremiah and Uriah were both prophets of God speaking the same message. The difference is that Jeremiah did not fear anything one to the point of death to say what God wanted him to say. Uriah fled in fear to Egypt (v. 21) and he was being chased and killed.

Do you know the difference? Do you have the courage to say what the Lord wants you to say and stand firm fearlessly of the persecution afterward?

What I receive from Jesus is: Courageous, live! Chickened, die!

Lots of time Christians choose to step back when facing opposition and rejection. Here we get a good example that the more we step back and chickened out the more chance the devil is going to get us.

Be courageous, stand firm and live!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to be courageously following your lead to say what you want us to say so that your message can be delivered in one piece. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
