Please click the links below to Jeremiah 34:
So all the officials and people who entered into this covenant agreed that they would free their male and female slaves and no longer hold them in bondage. They agreed, and set them free. But afterward they changed their minds and took back the slaves they had freed and enslaved them again.
Jeremiah 34: 10-11
What doDo you think they got a chance if they stayed in the new covenant and not change their minds? I think so. But, it shows how evil, stubborn, greed and self-centre we as human beings always are.
It's is so easy for us to change our minds and turn our backs to God again. The thing we don't know is that God has His own way to treat those people who change their minds so easily!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that we are in your New Covenant and lead us into your truth and love that we will never change our minds. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
