"When someone brings a grain offering to the Lord, his offering is to be of fine flour."
Leviticus 2:1
Why did God command the Israelites to offer animals without defect Lev. 1: 3,10) and fine flour for the grain offering? Fine flour means the finest wheat flour. It was beaten to a fine grain so that it had no lumps or imperfection. God teaches His people to offer the best to Him for He is God!
But, we have so many secondhand or even thirdhand, fourthhand offerings:
Buying furnitures for the church - let's get the cheapest.
Buying new TV, computers and other household items - let's give the used one to the church.
Salary for God's servants - the lowest as possible
Hospitality for God's servants from other countries - the cheapest as possible.
And .......
If we do not know and are not willing to offer the best to God, then ...!!!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to offer the best to you and that your Name will be glorified. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Thanks for all your prayers! Michelle and I are quite disappointed for the report has not arrived yet. So, we need to wait again. The next VGH appointment is next Monday and this time will be seeing the doctor in charge. Patience is one of many lessons we have been learning the past four months!
My son, Ignatius, completed his three weeks mission in Ethiopia yesterday. We are so joyful to welcome him home and know that he experienced God mightily in that three weeks. His one word of experience is "JOY"! Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing:http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
