"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." Matthew 5: 38-39
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. i tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5: 17-20
Stone someone to death? No way! Jesus said no!
It is so difficult to understand those not only complicated but sometimes seemingly nonsense laws, unless you have a personal relationship with Jesus. Then you will learn the Bible in a right way; then you will go to Bible study classes, various courses, conferences or even theological studies. Then you know how to listen and obey! God used laws to teach the Israelites to listen and obey. Jesus came and taught people that the Law is not God but God is God. We need to be a true disciple of Jesus in a true and intimate relationship as Master and apprentice. Jesus would not like us to become Pharisees and teachers of the law without spiritual life.
Only Jesus has the answer. Do you know how to find Him?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Teach me and lead me in your way. Help me to remember that only you have the answer always. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

My son, Ignatius, completed his three weeks mission in Ethiopia a few days ago.We are so joyful to welcome him home and know that he experienced God mightily in that three weeks. His one word of experience is "JOY"! Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing:http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
