"But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their fathers - their treachery against me and their hostility toward me, which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies - then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they pay for their sin, I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land." Leviticus 26: 40-42
To know one's sins and to be able to confess those sins is not easy. But here in this chapter to confess the sins of our fathers seems impossible. How do we know the sins of our fathers? But, like father like son. I have seen many examples including me and my family that the sins of our fathers continue unless you cut the tie in the name of Jesus. Anger, laziness, pride, greed ...and many more.
God stated clearly the reward of obedience and the punishment of disobedience but generations and generations of people committed those sins since deciding to not listen and obey. We test how patient God can be! With what price?
Repent, confess your sins and the sins of your fathers that you will be free from all those spiritual ties that you are not aware of.
Repent!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to be able to confess my sins and the sins of my fathers. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
My son, Ignatius, completed his three weeks mission in Ethiopia a few days ago.We are so joyful to welcome him home and know that he experienced God mightily in that three weeks. His one word of experience is "JOY"! Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing:http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
