"You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord." Leviticus 18: 3-5
What I heard from Jesus today is a very simple but life or death warning: Do you want to live?
If we want to live, then we cannot follow those practices in this world especially concerning with sexual issues like having sex with close relatives, animals, same sex or abortion (just like those people sacrificed their children by burning them alive to their gods).
The key is "I am the Lord". If we can establish an intimate daily relationship with God, then we live in His Kingdom standards. If we have an intimate daily relationship with other things on earth, then those things are lording over us and we are living in those defiled practices. Yet lots of people don't know or don't care. But the consequence is that the land will vomit them out. Do you believe that?! ...vomit them out!
Do you want to live? Are you willing to help others to live too?
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are my Lord, my Savior and my King. Help me to obey your lordship faithfully and totally. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
We went to Whistler to have some quality time with Michelle's house group "Experiencing". They are having a three days retreat there. And then we went to a BBQ gathering of our Beta group in a Richmond Park late evening. Seeing the smiles and feeling the joy of how they enjoy the "togetherness" in our Emmanuel family is a hugh blessing! Thank you Lord!
My son, Ignatius, completed his three weeks mission in Ethiopia a few days ago.We are so joyful to welcome him home and know that he experienced God mightily in that three weeks. His one word of experience is "JOY"! Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing:http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
