"If she gives birth to a daughter, for two weeks the woman will be unclean, as during her period. Then she must wait sixty-six days to be purified from her bleeding." Leviticus 12: 5
For a soldier it is so easy to say "Yes Sir" but for a Christian it is so easy to ask God "Why". Does God discriminates regarding women? Why does giving birth to a girl needs 66 days to be purified and a son needs only 33 days? Well, to listen and obey is never easy to learn; Leviticus is full of regulations to train the Israelites to listen and obey God. Nothing more and nothing less! There are always so medical, cultural and other reasons people did not understand at that time but could understand maybe a thousand year or a few thousand years later and say, "Ah, I see!" And there are somethings we never can understand until we are in heaven and we'll say, "Ah, I see!" God never discriminates; it is just from a human's point of view that we think God discriminates because we can never understand God if God does not reveal Himself to us.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me not to question you but to obey you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
I had a most joyful birthday yesterday in Portland! We went to a new paradigm church - Mars Hills Church, Bellevue to worship and receive communion and we had a great lunch in a restaurant very near to the church and dinner in a Cuban style restaurant in Portland. The Chinese song "My Thanks" a few days ago has such a verse:
Without rainy season, who loves sunny sky
Michelle said, "I can accept and enjoy everything after this nearly dying experience", and I enjoyed every minute of this trip that I can be with Michelle and our two sons! Thank you Lord! Without rainy season, who loves sunny sky!
My son, Ignatius, completed his three weeks mission in Ethiopia a few days ago.We are so joyful to welcome him home and know that he experienced God mightily in that three weeks. His one word of experience is "JOY"! Please click this link to read his wonderful sharing:http://21ethiopiandays.wordpress.com/
