Bible Study
Jeremiah gave his last message to the Jews in Egypt telling them that they were rebellious and unfaithful because they worshipped other gods especially made offerings to the so called queen of heaven.
Those Jews even blamed their problems was because they stopped worshiping the Queen of Heaven at the time King Josiah's godly revival and reform (2 Chron. 34-35). They had become so spiritually corrupt they were convinced that false gods had done more for them than the true God of Israel. For this reason, they were planning to continue their idol worship, which would eventually lead to their death in Egypt. (v. 27)
Do you know the consequence of worshipping other gods, idols. How can you truly worship God each day that you are being protected and blessed?
My Spiritual Journal
What I got from Jesus today is: Don't do it!
Jeremiah said, "Don't do it!" All prophets in the Old Testament said, "Don't do it!" I said, "Don't do it!" But, history repeats and repeats! Queen of Heaven is called Quan Yin and has been worshipped by Chinese for centuries! There is stop in theunderground transit(MTR) in Hong Kong being named as Quan Yin because there is a famous Quan Yin Temple near that area. I have a new Christian who received Christ a month ago but she still does not want to throw the Quan Yin idol away from her home! I know that there are still quite a number of Christians who have not thrown their idols away from their home completely. They know what they need to do but they just do not have the will to do it! We really do not know the consequence of keeping those idols in our home!
"Don't do it!", this is what I heard from Jesus today! You should know what I mean if you are still worshipping idols or have idols in your home. Pray now to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you whether you are worshipping some idols. Pray now to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you those idols He wants you to throw away and do it, quick!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have a total cleansing in our hearts and our home that we are free from idolatry. You are the only One we worship. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
