Bible Study

Chapter 10 and 11 prophesies about the departure of God's glory and presence from the temple and the city of Jerusalem. Because of the people's sin and idolatry, God left his house reluctantly and gradually. It's because of His holiness that He had to separate Himself from what was going on in the temple.

How much is God's glory and the presence of God in your church when your congregation are worshiping? How important is God's glory and the presence of God during your worship?

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: God's glory departs!

How would God's glory departs? This chapter and the last one gives us a very good example. Two words: sins and idolatry!

If our leaders permit sin, Satan and worldliness to gain influence, then God's glory and presence will depart. As a result, churches will become empty shells spiritually. I have been to some big churches around the world and they are so dead and empty!

How can you help your own church to have God's glory and His presence? Very simple, start with you, your willingness to be transform by Jesus to be more like Him. Can you do that?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Tell us in your own way that we have an important part to play to have your glory and presence in our own churches. Help us to be teachable and faithful that we can follow you to take our cross and be transformed by you to be more like you - Christlikeness. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
