Bible Study
This is a very, very important chapter to Ezekiel as well as you and me. Why? Because it consists of the steps that Ezekiel had to follow in order to fulfill God's plan through Ezekiel as well as the steps that we have to follow in order to be Christ-like:
1. Eat the Scroll: read God's Word in the Bible so much like we eat the whole Bible and can digest all we eat. (vv. 1- 3, 10)
2. Speak God's Word with no fear (vv. 4-9)
3. Be filled and lifted up by the Holy Spirit to enter into God's glory (vv. 12-14, 22- 24)
4. Be a Watchman for God's people to warn them with God's Word: You don't speak, they die and you die. You do speak, they die and you live.
Remember these four steps, write it down into a small paper and put it into your wallet, follow this four steps then your whole life will be changed to be a real Christ-like servant of God! I started to follow these four steps 13 years ago!
My Spiritual Journal
What I got from Jesus today is: If you choose obedient, not rebellious!
You know what happened 13 years ago? My mother(gladys) and sister(Ada) came to visit us in Summer 1999. We went to Portland for a three days holiday, six of us and Athanasius was just two years and two months old.
I was having my daily devotion on this chapter and I got just one word "Eat the Scroll". When I went back I started a "Eat the Scroll Campaign" in Richmond Emmanuel Church. Encouraging our people to read the complete Bible started in the order from John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Acts then complete the New Testament and then the Old Testament. We have been honoring each one of those who complete reading the whole Bible. Just a few months ago we gave the certificate to Elise To(who had a critical accident in Athens three years ago) who started reading the complete Bible ten years ago and completed just a few months ago!
For ten years since 1999, the campaign helped so many of our people to really taste the sweetness of eating the Scroll. Then in 2009, Jesus told me to write my first blog which is this one. It's a deeper call of "Eat the Scroll" and then last March and then this March with a new blog "Discipler123" and two podcasts, another deeper level taking the "Eat the Scroll" to another level of building a daily intimate "dating" personal relationship with Jesus.
I have been experiencing all four level constantly the past 13 years and it just bring my whole life into a new paradigm!
If you choose obedient and not rebellious, just take the first step "Eat the Scroll" then the other three steps will follow automatically if you really "eat the Scroll"!
Dear Lord Jesus,
We choose obedient and not rebellious. Help us to be willing to really eat the Scroll. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
