Bible Study

Ezekiel prophecies that when God's time comes there will be angels who will come to kill all the idolaters. Those who grieve of the sin of Jerusalem would have a mark to be put by the seven angel on the foreheads that they will not be killed.

God's judgment begins with his own people, especially with the spiritual leaders. Leaders in the church are particularly accountable to God for their faithfulness to his Word and for their commitment to a lifestyle of Christlikeness.

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: Idolaters killed!

We need to be very careful whether we are in the group of idolaters! It's not only talking about whether we worship idols, having idols at home. Those things we can pray to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us.

I was shock this morning to see a picture I took for our elder son Ignatius in Singapore when he was 2 1/2 years old in 1990. He was embracing an "idol"! We put that photo in a central place at our home for the past 22 years and we have not aware at all until I prayed to the Holy Spirit for a house cleaning early this morning. Michelle agreed and we took the photo away!

The idol thing is more easy to deal with comparing to our worship the lifestyle of idols. Lots of Christians are not living in a lifestyle of Christlikeness but in a lifestyle of this "money", "luxury" oriented world. That's is another kind of idolatry but most people do not aware of that.

Let's keep on asking the Holy Spirit daily to open our eyes to see if we are still idolaters. Sincere grief over sin is one evidence of true faith and will be spared by the angels when the time comes!

Dear Holy Spirit,
Fill us, anoint us and that our spiritual eyes can be opened to see those things that should not be in our house and in our lives. Come Holy Spirit, fill us that we will take action to remove those things away from our house and our lives that we can enjoy your presence daily. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
