Bible Study

The Lord is like an enemy;

he has swallowed up Israel.

He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds.

He has multiplied mourning and lamentation fro the Daughter of Judah.

Lamentations 2: 5

You may say, "How dare would I be an enemy of God, I don't want to die!"

The true is, we have this situation in this chapter that Israel had become an enemy of God! We can see how God handed them over to their enemy and how they were under total destruction.

Those who have known the Lord and enjoyed the benefits of following him, but then turn from him to embrace the pleasures of sin, make themselves enemies of God. That is what the nations of Israel and Judah did, and they suffered!

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: Don't be an enemy of God!

What I heard from Jesus is that we need to read this chapter carefully so that we do not fall into the same situation as the Israelites to become an enemy of God. What is the opposite of enemy? Friend. What a friend we have in Jesus!

Yes, how can we establish a true friendly relationship with Jesus and help more people to repent and return form the hostile situation as enemies of God to become friends of God and to experience Jesus is Lord!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to become a good friend of you that we can be blessed and anointed by you daily. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
