Bible Study

Ezekiel's call was to go to the Israelites, a rebellious nation that had rebelled against God, to deliver God's word. He needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that he could be able to hear God's word and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit so that he would not be afraid to speak God's word.

How are you ready and willing to be filled by the Holy Spirit that you can speak God's word to those people God prepares with no fear?

My Spiritual Journal

What I got from Jesus today is: Obedient or rebellious? What is your choice?

Jesus asked me to count those words related to "rebellious" in this chapter. The result: rebellious (5 times), rebelled/rebel((2 times), revolt against(1 time), obstinate(1 time), stubborn(1 time). How do you feel after you see and read all those words? It's talking not only about the Israelites but about us! We are human beings and we have that kind of DNA - stubborn and rebellious!

What should we do? God gives us an answer through this chapter:

1. To be filled by the Holy Spirit.

2. Listen carefully of what God wants to tell you.

3. Deliver God's words to those whom God prepares for you to deliver.

Is that difficult? Yes, it is difficult, very difficult! Do you need to do that? Yes, you do. Why? Because we have only two choices, either obedient or rebellious!

What is your choice?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to make a wise choice to be obedient to your call. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
