God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. Acts 19: 26
Yes, I believe that, for that’s what it says in the Bible. How can that be? I received one word and that is “momentum”. Several things happened to make this momentum into a reality:
D 1 1. Daily teaching for two years - Paul’s willingness to spend two years in the lecture hall of Tyrannus daily to teach the word of God.
2D 2. Daily training of apprentices - Paul did not do the teaching alone. He made use of this daily teaching opportunity to train his apprentices for three years (Acts 20: 31) before he passed the baton to them.
3 3 3. Total trust – the whole teaching atmosphere and life-changing examples generated a huge momentum of trust to Paul. This trust brought a phenomenon that could not be explained by reasoning alone in healing and in driving out of demons.
What I have seen is how the Deceiver discourages the daily teaching and learning of disciples of Jesus. One way he does this is by making Christian leaders do works on their own and in their not raising up apprentices. Then what appears is not momentum of the power of God but a 'momentum' of losing trust with leaders, burnouts and separations.
I pray that this blog can serve as a daily sharing place to create a momentum to transform your life to live out the power of God.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to be close to you daily that I can be a channel to show forth your power. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
