DAY 128 - Darkened and Hardened

Today’s Reading: Romans 11

Please read Romans 11: 1 – 36 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf . (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened, as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes so that they could not see and ears so that they could not hear, to this very day.” Romans 11:7-8

Do we know if our hearts are hardened and our eyes are darkened? I don’t think so! Did the Israelites know? No! Then how can we be the remnant and the elect? Only by God’s grace and as we accept God’s grace and not reject His grace.

Has your heart been softened and your eyes been opened? This is a challenge from the Lord Jesus Christ to me and to you on this Christmas Day!

Dear Lord Jesus,
On this Christmas Day, may you open my eyes to be able to see the things you want me to see. May you soften my heart that I can accept more and love more. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Can we follow our King, our Shepherd, our Lord Jesus Christ to use an hour’s time to pray for His protection and blessings to my new ministry as the Bishop of ACiC/AI, all our ACiC/AI clergy, leaders and people? Pray that in the Holy and Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we can win over Satan's tricks, in order to strengthen our brothers and sisters so that His Kingdom will be extended.
